WHY DO VFX & POST IN BRAZIL
Brazil stands out as an excellent destination for post-production services in image, sound, and VFX, offering a unique combination of quality and cost-effectiveness. With prices up to 40% more competitive compared to other international markets, Brazil currently serves major players such as Netflix, Amazon, Max, and many other globally renowned productions. The country boasts a wide range of highly talented, creative, and dedicated professionals who ensure technical and artistic excellence in every project. Additionally, the strict adherence to deadlines makes Brazil a reliable choice for productions that demand speed and high-quality results.
Visual Effects
Mistika positions itself as a true VFX production hub, ensuring the final delivery of projects with excellence. Its strategy and expertise allow the company to select the best talents and vendors from the market to meet the specific needs of each project, rather than relying on a generalist in-house team. We have an exclusive team of VFX supervisors and producers for each production, who monitor the artistic side through daily reviews ("dailies") as well as the production side, ensuring strict adherence to deadlines. This flexibility enables Mistika to deliver superior results, always seeking the best solutions for each project with high efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Marcelo Siqueira, known as SICA, is the Senior Effects Supervisor, Producer, and founder of Mistika, with over 30 years of industry experience. Although the "Senna" project for Netflix was not directly executed by Mistika, Sica brought the company’s work philosophy to the project, which involves collaborating with various specialized vendors to ensure top-quality results and timely delivery. Initially invited as the VFX Supervisor and Producer, his deep involvement led him to also take on the role of second unit director, overseeing the performance scenes of the racing cars. This project, the largest in terms of visual effects ever produced in Brazil, involved international vendors, yet some of the most critical Full CG scenes were accomplished by Brazilian companies, showcasing the nation's talent in this area
Another success story was the project "Jesabel" for TV Record. Mistika acted as the production and post-production hub, being responsible for the delivery of 80 episodes, which included a total of 8 hours of visual effects of various complexities. In addition to a dedicated internal team of 20 people for the project, we selected specialized suppliers, both from Brazil and abroad, to handle specific sequences that required techniques such as crowd simulations, water, fire, and matte painting. This production strategy was key to the project's success, which was delivered without a single day of delay, even with the daily broadcast of the telenovela already underway.

Edit Mistika Cloud
With over 40 Avid or Premiere workstations connected to servers that offer more than 400TB of storage through a 10GbE network, Mistika ensures exceptional speed and performance, especially for projects requiring multiple video streams in multicamera setups. Each project has exclusive access, with the designated number of workstations and storage allocated to the editing team. The entire remote access system is encrypted and uses a dedicated internet link, ensuring a smooth and secure experience for editors.
Color Grading
Mistika has 5 color grading suites, including 2 HDR and 3 SDR, suitable for projects in HD or 4K, with the capability of HDR streaming for remote color approval. Directors and Directors of Photography (DPs) with compatible devices, such as iPads or HDR displays, can monitor the color grading process in real time. When this technology is not available, there is the option to rent color grading suites in the country where the directors are located, ensuring flexibility and quality in any location.
